Throughout the 80s, the public was told that the several minor surgeries Ronald Reagan underwent were because of his advanced age and failing health. In actuality, Reagan was having tissue specimens removed and stored in government genetics laboratories. In the event of his assassination, Reagan would be cloned, briefed, and returned to the oval office without the public noticing. During Reagan’s tenure, this occurred three times.
